Wood door sound: various speeds of open and closing a wood door with a lot of speaky sounds. Recorder: zoom h4n with the internal mic on 48khz with 24bit.

A simple elevator ride between 4 floors: doors closing, cabin moving, stop, doors opening. Recorded with a zoom h2n in x/y stereo mode.

This is the announcement made inside a sanisette (a self-cleaning, high-tech street toilet found throughout paris) when the door opens after pressing the button to go in. The mechanical noises are unavoidable because the announcement is triggered by the opening of the door. Recorded with zoom h4n built-in mics / 94 khz / 24-bit stereo.

Sound edited of a wood cuban puzzle that generate the emotion of alert.

Opening a sliding door to a lot of chatty morning birds. You can hear a some fire truck sirens far in the background. After a few minutes, door is closed, i let you hear the difference, and we’re done. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 at about 5 am. Converted to mp3 with command “lame --preset extreme” since it’s rather huge. Not normalized; lame reports a playback gain of +21 db.

This is an old recording that was never used for anything. It's basically an 8 bit audio file of me saying "allow me to open the door" in a sort of high pitched voice. Apparently this was used for a half-life mod, but, again, was never used.

Captured on my zoom h4n. I open the door and the wind noise get louder. Around :50 it really starts to gust. There is a dog bark in the distance around 1:12. There is a little mic rumble throughout. I had it covered with a windshield and was standing just inside the door frame to try to prevent additional rumble. No need to credit. Use it as you would like.

(update-june 15th, 2022. The truck is still running strong). :-) this is my ford ranger with a 170 v-6. I enter, shut the door, put in key, click seat belt, put tranny in neutral, pump gas, start and warm it up a bit. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :^).

The recorded noise has been filtered quite a lot, but there might still be too much left if you bring the sound to high levels. However it should work in quiet surroundings. Recording equpipment: akg c214 / focusrite saffire pro 24.
